We needed something to easily cut through carpet padding we were removing from our home. I had seen this product before and thought I would give it a try. Wow!!! We pulled up over 1200 sq ft of carpet padding (5 rms and a hallway) in just a couple of hours, without any issues or even dulling the blade!!

I have long had the classic grey handled 45mm Fiskars cutter. This new handle style is nice and I LOVE having the bigger blade. Cuts more layers much easier and seems faster, too.

I couldn’t be happier with the Cricut Gypsy! It has made my projects so much faster and accurate. You can bring it anywhere with you and design on the go. Comes with 2 great cartridges already downloaded. It also has many other cartridges on it that you are able to view and play around with. You are not able to cut anything out unless you have linked that particular cartridge onto your Gypsy. But it is a good way to view a cartridge before spending the money on it.

The Gypsy in Michaels is only $35 less than this package deal on here. There's only one item that I find rather misleading in the ad, so be forewarned - YOU DO NOT GET FREE "CARTRIDGES" WITH THE GYPSY. What you get is a code to go on Cricut's website and download cartridges for your Gypsy. You don't get several tangible cartridges, the boxes, books or rubber keypads. Just downloads. Now, with that being said, it is still a great deal, and the Gypsy will allow you to navigate those cartridges that you downloaded rather easily, but I just thought I'd clear that up. I bought this for my wife for Christmas, and was rather miffed when I opened the box and found the Cricut and no cartridges. To start out, let me say that overall, this is a great deal. The Gypsy in Michaels is only $35 less than this package deal on here. There’s only one item that I find rather misleading in the ad, so be forewarned – YOU DO NOT GET FREE “CARTRIDGES” WITH THE GYPSY. What you get is a code to go on Cricut’s website and download cartridges for your Gypsy. You don’t get several tangible cartridges, the boxes, books or rubber keypads. Just downloads. Now, with that being said, it is still a great deal, and the Gypsy will allow you to navigate those cartridges that you downloaded rather easily, but I just thought I’d clear that up. I bought this for my wife for Christmas, and was rather miffed when I opened the box and found the Cricut and no cartridges. It took me e-mailing the seller to get clarification on the actual details of the items in question.

Finally something that works as advertised. It may be pricy but for someone who does not like the cutiing process this is a great solution. I only wish there was a 12 inch block or at least two 12 inch triangles.

I did find that I don't like the dies with multiple shapes/objects. It was a little difficult to isolate the shape I needed and I felt like blades of the unused shapes were wearing out the cutting mat unnecessarily. That was just my feeling. I also discovered that I needed to slide the cutting mat off of the dies after cutting to prevent the cut objects from clinging to the cutting mat. Those are my pro and cons and I love my Accuquilt Go! Don't know if I can say this, but after tons of research I found the best prices on Amazon. This product has saved me! I have nerve damage in my right hand and I was able to cut a king size quilt in two days that consisted of 15 pieces per 12″ block.
